Week 2 W/B:13/6/2022

This week we have been very busy in Class 6 with our learning it has been full of visits and visitors!

In maths this week we have been learning how to share and group items, we used healthy fruits to share equally between us and our friend. Also in maths this week we have been re-capping ordering numbers to 10 and making 10 in a range of ways using a variety of resources.

This week we went on a train to Seascale, we went on the beach to find lots of lovely shells and stones, played on the park, had a picnic and even got an ice-cream! The next day we wrote all about our wonderful day out!

In science we are learning how to stay safe in the sun, we helped to pack a suitcase for a sunny holiday and sorted items for our holiday that would keep us safe in the sun and then we made posters to help other people see our top tips on sun safety. Also as part of our science learning we were visited by a dental nurse who showed us how to keep our teeth healthy.

In Art we have been learning about an artist that uses abstract colours and shapes to create beautiful paintings, we created our own using circles inside squares.

This week we are starting our foodbank appeal to help the North Lakes foodbank appeal collect lots of food for local families, we were visited by Timmy the tin of Tuna to talk to us about the foodbanks jobs and how they help people. We have been busy making posters to put in our local area to try and collect as much food as we can!
