The teachers in Year 1 will be adding new content weekly so please keep a look out.
Here are some top tips on how to navigate around the page...
Find an area of the curriculum such as English.
Click on the download document underneath the planning
Open up the planning there you will find a day by day/step by step guide on on how and what you are teaching your child.
Tuesday 9th February is Safer Internet Day. Enjoy reading together Detective Digiduck who finds some amazing animal facts online but is surprised to discover they may need checking. Searching the internet for information can be tricky, so Wise Owl swoops in with a plan to put everything right. The aim is to encourage young children to start to think about online content, and help them to understand that what they read or see online might be true, untrue, or someone's opinion.

Reading
Reading is a vital part of your child's learning. Taking the time to sit and read with your child is the most beneficial way of getting your child to read. Please aim to read with your child 5 times a week (Give me Five).
Please use the eBooks on the Oxford owl website. To find out which books your child is currently reading, please refer to your reading record, where it will inform you of the book band colour and which phonics phase this is.
Go to www.oxfordowl.co.uk
Click on 'Oxford Owl' for school - Login In.
Type in the class name and password (under the student section). This can be found on the front page of your reading record.
Here you will find a selection of oxford Owl books and Letters and Sounds books.
